The unconventional Carrera
In 1963, Jack Heuer introduced the Carrera, naming it after the Carrera Panamericana, a famously demanding Mexican road race. Its defining philosophy was clarity: a chronograph designed to communicate information instantly, even in the intensity of competition.
The Carrera DATO revisits one of the collection's more unusual historical designs. Rather than using a conventional arrangement of three chronograph registers, it features a single counter at three o'clock and a date window at nine.
The modern CBS2211 pairs that asymmetric layout with a striking teal-green dial and TAG Heuer's curved Glassbox sapphire crystal. Its manufacture TH20-07 movement provides an 80-hour power reserve, bringing contemporary engineering to a design inspired by the experimental spirit of the 1960s.
