Founded in 1984 by Italian sculptor Carlo Ciarli and Angela Camurati, Vhernier emerged with a distinctly unconventional vision of fine jewelry. Rather than allowing gemstones or ornamentation to dictate a design, the Maison approached jewelry as sculpture—creating pure, powerful forms distinguished by volume, movement and an unmistakably contemporary Italian sensibility. The house's early creations captured the attention of art collector Carlo Traglio, who acquired Vhernier with his brother Maurizio and opened its first Milan boutique in 2002. Over the decades, Vhernier has remained faithful to that original artistic spirit, developing innovative, sculptural collections rooted in Milanese elegance. In 2024, the Maison became part of the Richemont Group, beginning a new chapter while preserving the design language that has made Vhernier so immediately recognizable.
