ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Oscar & Nathan Heyman

The story of Oscar Heyman began in 1906, when brothers Oscar and Nathan Heyman arrived in New York City from Latvia carrying an extraordinary foundation in European jewelry craftsmanship. As teenagers, the brothers had apprenticed in a Fabergé workshop, developing the precision and technical mastery that would shape their careers. Oscar later joined Pierre Cartier as the first non-French jeweler employed by the House, helping establish Cartier's New York workshop, while Nathan developed expertise in tool-and-die making—skills that would become integral to their future company.

In 1912, Oscar and Nathan joined their younger brother Harry to establish Oscar Heyman & Brothers, eventually welcoming five more siblings into the family business. More than a century later, Oscar Heyman remains independent and family-run, with second- and third-generation family members carrying forward a legacy built upon exceptional gemstones, meticulous craftsmanship and an uncompromising dedication to fine jewelry.
