To ensure the precision and reliability of its timepieces, Rolex submits each watch after assembly to a
stringent series of tests. All new Rolex watches purchased from one of the brand's Official Jewelers
come with a five-year international guarantee. When you buy a Rolex, the Official Jeweler fills out and
dates the Rolex guarantee card that certifies your watch's authenticity.
The five-year guarantee which applies to all Rolex models is coupled with the green seal, a symbol of
its status as a Superlative Chronometer. This exclusive designation attests that the watch has
suc-cessfully undergone a series of specific final controls by Rolex in its own laboratories according
to its own criteria, in addition to the official COSC certification of its movement.
Every Rolex is delivered in a beautiful green presentation box that is both protector and keeper of the
jewel that nests inside it. As the presentation box is also a symbol of giving, it is important, if you
are purchasing a gift, that the recipient's first contact with their Rolex sets the stage for revealing
what lies within.

Pink opal dial
This dial features hour markers in 18 kt gold, set with 32 diamonds, and a Roman VI and IX in 18 kt gold, set with 24 diamonds. Rolex has developed special expertise in the creation of dials made from decorative stone, such as pink opal. The stone discs destined for the dials are cut from a block of raw material. Only those whose colour and structure fully satisfy the brand’s exacting aesthetic requirements are selected. They will grace the dial of a Rolex watch, conferring it with a unique personality.
Fluted bezel
The Rolex fluted bezel is a mark of distinction. Originally, the fluting of the Oyster bezel had a functional purpose: it served to screw the bezel onto the case helping to ensure the waterproofness of the watch. It was therefore identical to the fluting on the case back, which was also screwed onto the case for waterproofness, using specific Rolex tools. Over time, the fluting became an aesthetic element, a genuine Rolex signature feature. Today the fluted bezel is a mark of distinction, in platinum on this Day-Date 36.
Platinum
Rare and precious, platinum is striking for its silvery whiteness and vibrant luminosity. It is among the densest and heaviest metals in the world, distinguished by unique chemical and physical properties such as exceptional corrosion resistance. Paradoxically, it is also soft, elastic and highly malleable, which makes machining and polishing especially difficult, demanding an extremely high degree of skill. Rolex always uses 950 platinum, an alloy consisting of 950‰ (thousandths) platinum, painstakingly crafted in-house by the fine metalworkers at Rolex. The noblest of metals for the finest of watches.
Model availability
All Rolex watches are assembled by hand with the utmost care to ensure exceptional quality. Such high standards naturally restrict Rolex production capacity and, at times, the demand for Rolex watches outpaces this capacity.
Therefore, the availability of certain models may be limited. New Rolex watches are exclusively sold by Official Rolex Jewelers, who receive regular deliveries and independently manage the allocation and sales of watches to customers.
