IWC – Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition “Antoine De Saint Exupéry” – IW503801
This PilotÕs Watch, which carries the name Antoine de Saint-ExupŽry, is packed with technical highlights. The mechanically programmed perpetual calendar shows not only the lunar cycles but also the seconds, minutes, hours, date, day, month and year in four digits. It takes into account the different lengths of the months and all the leap years in the Gregorian calendar until 2100. All of the displays advance automatically. The perpetual moon phase also lives up to its name, and will need to be corrected by 1 day only after 577.5 years. Two barrels in the IWC-manufactured 52610-calibre supply the power needed to provide 7 daysÕ running time and drive additional functions and displays. A glance through the see-through sapphire-glass back reveals the sophisticated design of the movement. Clearly visible are the elements new to the calibre family such as the twin barrels, the improved Pellaton winding system with practically wear-free ceramic components, the blued screws and the various decorations on the bridges.
