Moonphase Co-Axial Master Chronometer Moonphase Chronograph 44.25mm

Description

The Speedmaster is one of OMEGA’s most iconic timepieces, having been a part of all six lunar missions. Taking the spirit of exploration a step further, this new Moonphase features two infinitely small platinum Liquidmetal™ moons.

This 44.25 mm model is a Limited Edition of 57 pieces and features a sand-blasted 950 platinum dial with diamond-polished blackened indexes. At 6 o'clock is the accurate Moonphase indication, which combines a red alumina disc and platinum Liquidmetal™ moon. The subdial at 9 o'clock has a magnifying date hand.

Cased in 950 platinum and circled with a red alumina bezel ring, this watch is presented on a burgundy leather strap with a polished-brushed foldover clasp.

Powering the timepiece is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9905, which has been officially certified by METAS.

• Anti‑magnetic

  The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).

  The chronograph function is a mechanism for measuring time intervals. A can therefore be used to time events while displaying the time like any traditional watch.

• Moonphase

  A moonphase watch uses a function which tracks the phases of the moon. One lunar cycle is 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.8 seconds and includes four phases: new moon, first quarter, full moon, last quarter.

• Small seconds

  A hand on a sub-dial which tracks seconds typically it completes a full rotation in one minute.

• Tachymeter

  A tachymeter watch has a function for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read in kilometres per hour based on a 1000 metre distance.

• Transparent case back

  A transparent case back - frequently made of sapphire - makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
